About 66221 Living

66221.com is an independent, digital-first local publication for households in ZIP 66221 — south Overland Park, Johnson County, Kansas. Our goal is simple: make the big decisions of local life (buying, selling, fixing, schooling, budgeting) easier and cheaper.

What we publish

• Guides — long-form explainers on property tax, insurance claims, home costs, schools and relocation.
• Tools — calculators that use Kansas and Johnson County rules.
• Community — events, a local business directory, contests and neighbour polls.
• Connections — optional, free quote requests to vetted local providers.

Editorial standards

1. Primary sources first. We cite government agencies, official records and reputable publishers, and we date every guide.
2. Plain language. No jargon without explanation.
3. Corrections. If we get something wrong we fix it and note the update. Report errors via the contact page.
4. Independence. Advertisers and partners never review or approve editorial content. Sponsored material is labelled.
5. Not advice. Our content is general information — always confirm details with licensed professionals and official sources.
